BRITISH PALE ALE

5.6%ALC/VOL

Maris Otter, amber, and crystal malts provide a luscious toffee-ish base, while a warm-fermenting London ale yeast rewards this beer with orange marmalade-like esters. All very British so far; but a trio of Nelson-grown hops—with their zingy tropical fruit and citrus top-notes—produce an unmistakeable Kiwi accent!

CALIFORNIAN IPA

6.6%ALC/VOL

An American West Coast interpretation of craft beer’s most popular style—the IPA. This brew has a clean fermenting yeast and firm caramelised malt base, complemented by American hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus. Expect a typically robust, punchy, West Coast style IPA, with lashings of pine resin, zesty citrus, and stonefruit—leading to an uncompromisingly bitter finish.

DOPPELBOCK

7.5%ALC/VOL

In accordance with the style’s Teutonic heritage, this Doppelbock is crafted with six German malts and enjoys an extended cool-fermentation with a classic German lager yeast. Full bodied, sweetish, and lusciously malty, this beer combines toffee, caramel, and bready notes with an edge of citrusy tartness from the hops. Soothing and warming.

BRITISH BLONDE

5% ALC/VOL

Our entry in Marchfest 2017, this British-style blonde ale dishes out a distinctly summery Kiwi accent, with a cocktail of tropical fruit and citrus aromas and flavours from locally grown Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops. However, a grist comprised of 100 per cent British malts (Maris Otter and Pale Crystal) maintains a typically English degree of civility and decorum. Happy days!
